ππ’π What a whirlwind April for the Arkansas Waterways Commission! Director Caldwell had a blast attending the Arkansas Leaders Consortium, witnessing her Leadership Arkansas classmate's promotion to Brigadier General, and experiencing the awe-inspiring total solar eclipse. But the real highlight was testifying at the Mississippi River Commission High-Water Inspection Hearing in Memphis and enjoying a tour of the International Port of Memphis Harbor on the MV Mississippi. From there, it was off to Washington, DC with IRPT for important meetings and visits to legislators. And let's not forget the Leadership Arkansas session on Regional Development in NWA, where new ideas and collaborations were born. But the cherry on top was the AWC Quarter 2 meeting, hosted by the gracious Fort Smith Port Authority, complete with delicious food and fantastic port tours. Cheers to a month full of adventure, progress, and meaningful connections! ππ #ArkansasWaterwaysCommission#MississippiRiverCommission #InlandRiversPortsandTerminals#LeadershipArkansas #PortofFortSmith
